The Jungle Sanctuary

Bold & Architectural

Wrapped in a cloak of green

A garden on two levels with three distinct seating zones and a concealed outdoor kitchen. The lower garden has intimate seating for two in front of the fireplace and comfortable day beds for lounging under the banana fronds.

A tapestry of green textures envelop the space creating an immersive canopy retreat. A face of vertical bamboo creates a textural backdrop to the abundance of verdant forms layered through the garden. A complete escape from London life in this other worldly retreat.

A cantilevered fireplace with an open side which can be enjoyed from the interior at any time of year with the touch of a button

The bespoke bronze lights have been chosen to echo the forms of the bamboo. The glass has been tinted with an ochre finish to accentuate a golden glow into the evening.

Tile Detail

Hand glazed ochre tiles are repeated across the garden and reflect the interior design tones. Used on side table surfaces, BBQ work top and copping edging to add unity throughout.

“We gave Georgia an overlooked garden, covered in concrete that looked like a prison yard. It was an awkward space over 2 levels and we wanted a garden to enjoy being in but also to look at from the house all year round.

She has created a lush tropical space that has given us somewhere to lounge, to potter and to entertain. We also have privacy for the first time with multiple trees. The new garden also ties in beautifully with our home. It was a pleasure to work with Georgia, she was so creative and resolved our garden grumbles in a way we never could have on our own. One year on everything is thriving and it feels magical and a world away from London. It is our happy space.”
